Dolitzki, Menahem Mendel
(1856-1931)
   American Hebrew and Yiddish writer of Russian origin. He was born in Bialystok. He was Hebrew secretary to Kalonymos Ze'ev Wissotzky in Berlin from 1882 to 1892, when he emigrated to the US and settled in New York. In his early works he described the sufferings of Jewish people in Russia; later he wrote poems of yearning for Zion. He also published a biography of Wissotsky. In the US his descriptions of Jewish persecution in Russia appeared in the journal Ha-Ivri.
